They are signed with the site code C-6. The IMIS library was established in 1994 and is a part of the central library of the university of Osnabrück. Its special focus is on different issues of current and historical migration research. Its subject areas comprise literature on migration, flight and refuge, asylum, on integration, interculturalism, minorities and ethnicity as well as closely connected issues like nationality, the welfare state or xenophobia in an interdisciplinary, world-wide and long-term manner. ![]() Since mid-1994, the IMIS library has been acquiring specialized literature on all focuses of the Institute's interdisciplinary research with the help of external funds. Particular importance is attached to acquiring the most recent research literature as completely as possible. Moreover, current research results are available through numerous journals. The IMIS library has a stock of nearly 12,000 books as well as many journals and other series. |
